April on the East Coast

After having Daddy away on deployment for two months, we decided that we would rather be with family on the east coast. Our first month was filled with activity. It was so much fun to get to see our extended family and some old friends. We started our visit in Atlanta. The boys had such a great time at Grammy and Grandad's house and playing with their cousins. The picture above is from Andy's Atlanta birthday party. He had Cars cupcakes with cousins.

Our family had a "Strawberry Shortcake" birthday party for me. The kids and Grammy had fun decorating with the Strawberry Shortcake dolls from when I was a little girl!

We celebrated with the family during our weekly Sunday lunch.
This was one of Zach's favorite spots while we were in Atlanta. The boys can't wait to move back to the east coast and have our fort/swingset back in our yard.

Easter Sunday
We were sad to have Daddy away from us on Easter. It was refreshing to be back at Perimeter Church to celebrate Christ's resurrection. Easter is always such a special time to reflect on all that our Saviour has done for us.

Everyone except Josh's family (missing them in California) gathered at Nathan and Heather's house for Easter lunch, an Easter egg hunt, and a celebration of Naomi and Uncle Nathan's birthdays. There was a lot of celebrating that day!

The Easter Egg Hunt
Look at all of those eggs... and kids!

St. Petersburg, Florida
I had planned to borrow a car from my parents and take the boys on a road trip from Atlanta to Jacksonville and then down to St. Pete, but when the time came, I was too exhausted! We bought plane tickets to St. Pete instead. We were sorry to miss seeing everyone in Jacksonville! We had a fun visit in St. Pete. The boys had a great time playing at Memaw and Papaw's house and getting to see Uncle Casey and Aunt Carolyn. We even got to be there to help celebrate Memaw's birthday.

Getting ready to spend the morning on Papaw's boat.
Enjoying the sunshine with Aunt Carolyn.
Playing in the pool with Uncle Casey. The boys spent hours in the pool while we were in St. Pete. It took them a little while to get used to the water, but Andy remembered how to swim by the time we left.
We spent a day at the Tampa Aquarium.
By the end of the day, Andy did not want to be in a picture!

Zach had a great time fishing with his pole from Memaw and Papaw.
He did not want anyone to help him.
Andy caught a few pin fish with the help of Uncle Casey.
The boys enjoyed their daily run with Papaw.
Memaw let the boys help her do some planting. They even got to pick tomotoes for dinner!
Saying goodbye is always hard.
