Traveling

We flew aross the country on Valentine's Day to be with our family. We arrived in Atlanta and then drove to Tallahassee. After leaving Tallahassee, we headed back to Atlanta so Matt could catch his plane back to San Diego. After many delays and lost luggage, he finally made it home. We had a fun visit in Atlanta. More time with Grammy and Grandad and the cousins. After a few days, Andy, Zach, and I flew with my parents back to the west coast to see Josh's family and their new baby girl. Our visit was fun, but we all arrived sick and had to stay far away from Baby Selah. We are hoping to make it back for a visit sometime soon when we are all healthy! By the time we made it back home, we had been traveling for almost two weeks and were happy to be back in sunny San Diego. We headed out to the beach the very next day!

Andy and Ocean celebrated their 3rd Birthdays together (a little early) while we were visiting.

The kids are always having fun with Grammy and Grandad!

Here is my precious little niece... Baby Selah. Read more about the miracles that have already happened in her life on The Anderson Family Blog.

Loved and Missed

My Grandfather who was loved by many went to be with the Lord on February 11th. His life was lived to the glory of our Heavenly Father and his legacy will impact generations to come. Most of our extended family gathered in Tallahassee for his Memorial Service and then spent the weekend at the beach house at St. Teresa. Though we said goodbye to him with great sadness, our time together as a family was filled with precious memories. My Granddad Fain will be greatly missed here on earth, but he is now celebrating in Heaven!

We took this picture of Granddad Fain and Charlotte with the "Anderson Cousins" at St. Teresa in August. This was our last visit together.

Our extended family gathered on the dock at sunset one evening for our "group picture". Granddad Fain left behind quite a clan of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Winter in Coronado

Our first winter in Coronado has been unpredictable.... one day we are in shorts and the next we are all bundled up. I have been wishing that we had bought the boys rain boots, because there has been a lot more rain then people let on! But, we do have to admit that it is a wonderfully mild climate and even the cold days are not very cold. We have been doing more exploring lately. We went for a jog up at Lake Murray, where the boys had fun feeding the ducks. It was a crisp winter day.

The rainy days kept us in the house, so we were creative with our small space.... Tents make cozy spots for playing or reading... unless you fill them with books!

We are always thrilled with beach days, especially in February! It is easy to reflect on the wonder of our Creator in such a beautiful place.
