July in Coronado

We had a wonderful 4th of July in Coronado. The parade through town was the big event of the weekend. We went out to Orange Avenue to stake out our spot at 7:00am. Our friends met us for breakfast followed by the two and a half hour parade. It was so much fun and the kids had a blast! We had seats in a prime location to be part of the action. That evening we went to our friends' house for dinner. We watched the fireworks from their upstairs patio. We had a great day!

We found the perfect spot! Now what?

"How much longer until our friends get here for breakfast? When will the parade start?"
A little picnic breakfast with our friends.

Its finally time and we have front row seats in front of the library!

The kids had so much fun!

Zach, Emilie, and Andy waiting to see the fireworks.

Yum! Homemade ice cream with blueberries and strawberries... lick up every last bite!

More family fun in July...

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary and had an evening out without the kids! We celebrated about a month late, due to scheduling issues... I love the Navy! I am so thankful for my precious husband and our two beautiful boys. We have had seven fun years together! I just wish I had him home with me more often, but I am so proud of his hard work and commitment to serving our country!
